The Memorial Hall is an ideal venue for many types of events. We are fully licensed for public indoor entertainment, inc. stage plays, concerts, exhibitions, fairs, lectures, dances, weddings, private parties for children or adults (for which bar facilities can be arranged), or any event for which accommodation is required up to a maximum of 250 for dances, 160 seated for a dinner, or 200 theatre & 160 cinema style.
We have newly upgraded stage lighting and sound system (including a loop system for the hard of hearing), new stage curtains, full redecoration of the hall. Ceiling mounted commercial grade projector and screen, or use of our backlit cinema style screen.
Facilities for making tea and coffee are included in the costs of hiring the hall, or if you wish to offer your guests a cooked meal then the use of the modern kitchen is available for a small extra charge.
All facilities are on one floor providing full disabled access, and a toilet for the disabled is also provided.
The Memorial Hall was built to honour the fallen of of the two World Wars. We are a registered charity, run and maintained by a team of volunteers.
