Spies And Stars – Talk by Prof Christopher Andrew

The Museum are delighted to welcome the world’s leading historian of intelligence services and spyin, to share some of the highlights of his research into the fascinating intersection between the real worlds of spying and the entertainment business (to include Nidderdale!).

Professor Christopher Andrew is Emeritus Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Cambridge, Official Historian of the Security Service (MI5), Chairman of the Cambridge Intelligence Seminar, and a presenter of BBC radio and TV documentaries, including the Radio Four series What If?. His twelve books include: MI5 Defence of the Realm; KGB The Inside Story; For the President’s Eyes Only, Secret intelligence from Washington to Bush; The Secret World, a history of Intelligence; Stars and Spies, intelligence operations and the entertainment business.
